Nature Club

It is focused on increasing students understanding and appreciation of nature and raising awareness about the consequences of human activity on the natural world.

Aim

To sensitize, motivates and educate students and staff about environment conservation.

Objectives

To create awareness among our students and staff about environment related issues
Organize activities to reduce pollution in campus
Aim for a plastic free campus
Provide an exception to engage people instill conservation values, connect with the community and ultimately take action towards save species and their habits

Activities

Seasonal vegetable garden to enlighten students in healthy living and healthy eating
Nomenclature of trees and plants in and around campus
Maintain bio aquatic system
Engage students posted in PHD in maintenance of vegetable garden
Observing plantation day
Vermicomposting of biodegradable waste
Maintenance of butterfly garden, herbal garden, nature trail by students
Bio composting food waste from canteen and hostel in campus and used as organic manure for vegetable garden
Community based activities such as planting trees flowers and community gardens
Field trips like a visit to a museum or sanctuary, camping trips.
Nature based arts and crafts might help children to learn the ecosystem and surroundings
Build a natural playground
